About

A future-oriented open source VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) management platform

🌱 What We're Doing

OpenDesk is dedicated to building a simple, efficient, and open virtual desktop management platform that enables businesses and individuals to deploy, manage, and use virtual desktop environments more easily.

Based on the Proxmox VE (PVE) ecosystem, we integrate virtual machine resource scheduling, desktop distribution, and remote access through a unified web console, making VDI no longer complex.

đŸŽ¯ Our Goals

We believe:

  • VDI should not be exclusive to large enterprises
  • Virtualization should not be complex and closed
  • Everyone should be able to easily have their own cloud desktop platform

OpenDesk's goals are:

  • Lower the threshold for using VDI
  • Provide a scalable open source architecture
  • Build an open virtual desktop ecosystem

🤝 We Welcome All Contributions

OpenDesk is not just a product; it's a growing open source project.

We welcome:

  • Developers to participate in core feature development
  • UI/UX design optimizations
  • Documentation and tutorial improvements
  • Bug reports and suggestions
  • Enterprise-level scenario feedback

Whether you're a developer, operations engineer, or a user of VDI, your feedback is extremely important.

🚀 How to Get Involved

You can participate in OpenDesk in the following ways:

  • Submit Issues: Report problems or suggest ideas
  • Submit PRs: Contribute code
  • Join discussions: Help us define product direction
  • Use and provide feedback: Real-world scenarios are our most important reference

đŸ’Ŧ Let's Make VDI Simpler Together

OpenDesk is still rapidly developing, and we believe:

The best infrastructure software comes from the community, not closed systems.

If you share this belief, we welcome you to join us in making OpenDesk even better.
